Diversity & Inclusion within the workplace
Working towards creating an inclusive workspace
Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) is currently the most reliable source of HR insight and tools for the Canadian Electricity Industry.
Recently, they hosted their annual event titled Agents of Change, with the main focus on diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
At this year's event, EHRC held a panel of presentations on topics including; mental health, skills on properly supporting those living with disabilities, gender identity & sexual orientation and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. This event gathered professionals from different facets of the industry and introduced skilled speakers to cover these relevant topics.
Electricity is an innovative sector, but innovation can only flourish in an environment that encourages diverse perspectives. That is why it is important to foster diversity and inclusion within all our organizations.
