It positions a pair of decorator openings side by side so switches, receptacles or a switch-and-GFCI combo mount square and finish flush under the plate. Rugged steel keeps both openings aligned for a gap-free look. cETL certification backs the install at inspection. Where a 4x4 has to serve two decorator devices, it closes out the opening in one clean step.
